during A quick exercise at a material board event at Lawrence Tech, I selected and created a material board with a self-given prompt of a coastal hotel. This selection process consumed of wall coverings, floorings, tiles, textiles, and paint color. Additionally, the selection of these materials is using a neutral, natural, and calming array of materials, using neutral colors, natural patterns, and greens to create a calm and relaxing experience when the occupant is within the room. The materials are also selected to match the location of a typical coastal hotel, through selecting materials that express the feelings of a beach.
